The range of Beats by Dr Dre headphones is positioned as the top of the range in the Hi-Fi market. With headphones Beats Solo 3 Wireless, the brand seeks to stand out with a product cataloged as being mainly intended for Apple users. Obviously Android products are compatible, but the approach to use is different.

Unboxing of Beats solo 3 Wireless
In a very traditional way, the helmet is delivered in its rigid support first surrounded by a first white protection with a first visual of the helmet. Then comes the first part where the cover is located and within it said headphones, as well as the cable for the audio sockets. Everything is done to preserve the integrity of the helmet, but also of its accessories.
When we remove the support on which the headphones rest, we find the USB cable necessary to charge the headphones, the different user manuals in several languages. A tutorial to be able to tune your helmet to iOS 10 technology is also provided as well as a carabiner that you can install on the pouch.
As usual, everything is done in the packaging so that the material is removed in the simplest possible way, but also in the safest way for your product. There is no need to force on the removable parts, everything is done so that the packaging is functional and very simple.
Helmet design and ergonomics
Suffice to say right away, the Solo 3 Wireless headset does not revolutionize the Beats range by its design. Indeed, it is very classic as a whole. Beats does not change a recipe that has worked for its helmets from the start. Even the protective pouch remains similar to what has been done before.
The audio jack cable is always the same color as the headphones. In addition, the white color of the helmet that we tested gives it an elegant side that perfectly suits the design of it.. The only dissonant color is on the USB cable which is black, even if it doesn't swear a lot since it responds to the color of the cover. All available colors are well rendered.

In terms of ergonomics Beats also does not renew its range and takes up the recipe that works: a leather pad to have a certain listening comfort. The helmet is always adjustable according to the user's occiput, even if the curvature of the device can cause some headaches after long use..
The weak point of the headphones lies in its finishes for the wireless control keys. These are quite coarse and above all very difficult to handle. Especially since the Bluetooth connection takes time to respond depending on the device.
Using Beats Solo 3 Wireless Headphones
We can distinguish two different ways of using Beats headphones. The first, obviously, involves using the audio cable and plugging it into the port provided on your devices. On your PC, the sound is good, that's about the minimum required for one of the most popular headsets on the market.

It is the same for the sound on smartphones, even if the Mp3 formats meet certain limits at the acoustic level. There are no real acoustic differences between the Android and IOS operating systems. So, of course, the sound is generally good, but it is not really extraordinary for the amount of the bill. However, hearing comfort is all relative, because after long use the ears tend to heat up..

However, it is also unfortunate that at a certain volume of use, the headphones do not completely isolate the sound being listened to, to avoid noise pollution towards those around them. Its autonomy of 40 hours wireless is however ideal for use in public and seeks to make the audio cable more and more useless. You will still be of great help if the battery drops.
So it's also easy to see why the headset is focusing on Apple users. Indeed, the policy of the American manufacturer who removed the jack plug from his iPhone 7 comes into resonance with Beats' work on wireless headphones. However, the downside of this bias is the problem of use on other media outside the Apple range which still have to settle for the jack.
Beats Solo 3 Wireless headphones face the competition
For the same level of services, the main competitor of the Beats Solo 3 Wireless headset is very clearly the Jabra Move Wireless. Despite the price differential, the two offer almost the same experience, even though the Beats makes sound much clearer than its competitor.
Regarding the ergonomics of the helmet and the use of buttons on it, the Beats helmet does not really compare with a helmet like the Marshall Mid. The latter is more intuitive and above all much easier to use than its competitor. However, the big weak point of the Samsung headset lies in its exclusivity for Android users.
Finally, for hearing comfort, if for example you want to use a headset optimally, favor the 3D Sound One which will be much more useful than the Beats headphones in the matter at equivalent price.

However, each of the headsets presented here all have major faults that the Beats Solo 3 Wireless headset compensates for by its great versatility despite its marked faults..
