 History and Synopsis from God of War 4

This new Opus, the eighth episode of the series, is no longer focused on Greek mythology but Nordic. We find our main character Kratos accompanied by your son Atreus who, after settling in the kingdom of Mitgard, decides to leave to scatter your wife's ashes at the top of the peak of the nine kingdoms. Kratos then decides to put your son to the Review to see if he can control your rage but this experience is a failure. Graphically, this Opus is perfectly worked, the rendered on Ps4 Pro is simply amazing, the textures are fine, the many details and the title perfectly underlines all the gigantic of world of the northern gods. The Bosses (gods) that we meet are particularly neat, the brightness is perfectly distributed to reveal all the details, the palette of colors used is wide and demonstrates a work of care developed by the developers. For (happy) owners of a PS4 Pro and a 4k HDR screen, expect a grand spectacle.

The scenario and the universe are fun to see, we land in a fantasy world or dream and reality tend to get confused, Kratos will have to play your superhuman strength to overcome the many enemies. It’s primarily a game action-oriented, or many combat tactics will have to be implemented by the player with the help of your son. You will alternate the phases between these two characters during fight scene which at times may seem repetitive (only criticism addressed to the game).

For the kind, unlike the previous opus, we are more sure RPG action ((Role Playing Game) only on Beat them all ((hit them all).

The battles with the Nordic Gods are really impressive, as with the nidhog snake (photo 1) or the giant, you will not be disappointed by the variety of bosses.

And at the level of gameplay, what does it give?

The gameplay is fluid and easy to use , even if we can get lost in the multitude of actions that are offered to us. we appreciate being able to move from one character to another, which add some strategy in the way we go fight our enemies.

Despite everything, we can say that all of the actions are easy to implement, freedom of movement enhances immersion, there is no difficulty in being precise. We play here with a plan "Shoulder camera" where we follow Kratos from behind in order to have a superb view of the decor that unfolds before us.

Probably the most successful game in the series, the handling is relatively easy, the wide map, the missions and universes are varied and are a real pleasure for the eye.

With more than 20 hours of play, 40 hours if we want to finish it in full, Santa Monica gives us a complete "little gem" which, although retaining its purely combative aspects, also alternates with storytelling scenes perfectly mastered, a new decor, and a combat system revised upwards slightly RPG oriented.
