Introduction touniverse from Days Gone

So, through 6 regions, the player will run through impressive landscapes, worthy of a title AAA. This exclusivity on Ps4 console offers the player to admire lush valleys, of many rivers and waterfalls. He will visit the most hostile regions, volcanoes, of mountainous landscapes ((with caves where marauders can reside). During your adventure, it will come across many enemy camps. As we progress, we quickly notice that the zombies are crossing the city ​​evolve into packs, all over the map. You will come across them, not far from the truck stops.

Side displacement, the player will roam the world of Days Gone, walk or on a motorcycle. He can use fast moving as much as desired. The player must ensure that enough fuel to go to the desired location.

Side missions, like most open world games, we cannot escape some repetitive missions and at a narration which from time to time will take precedence over action. However, regions are quite varied with some specific missions to each of the zones crossed.

 Technically, a game worth the detour?

The Days Gone game seems correct without revolutionizing the genre. It’s normal for a AAA title.

The long loading times are present but thestory is very narrative. At certain times, the title does not take into account the time flow. Thus, the player can arrive at a place in broad daylight, to find themselves projecting in a cutscene in the middle of the night at this same place.

The entertainment are sometimes very worked with precise textures and fine. The title thus offers breathtaking panoramas and at times really poor. For example, when repair motorcycle, a adjustable wrench appears without being in contact with the motorcycle while the problem is with the engine. For the immersive side we have already seen better.

Side game dynamics, it offers like many other titles, a day / night cycle supplemented by weather cycles like the rain, the wind and the snow that make the world more alive. They will have a real impact on the Game and on the zombie behavior, making them more or less aggressive. Unfortunately, we count some framerate drops, for cuts making lose fluidity in the image. We also note, the presence of some bugs. We can hope that some patches come and correct them.

At the level ofnarrative approach, we can notice that it lack of depth, with some "Cuts-scenes" relatively simplistic. Deacon wants to save your wife and all of humanity from danger. Like a good hero, he did not see entrenchment in a survivalist camp but he travels the world to try to save what's left. The player will evolve in 23 chapters called Arc.

Overall, the game is good without revolutionizing the genre. The player will walk the world like a Far cry. If you are a fan of zombiesque genre and open-word narratives then the game is for you. Side technical, the game is relatively beautiful and offers to many panoramas interesting to explore.

However, we note some framerate falls and of bugs which are sure to be corrected by the teams of Bend studio in a future update.

We appreciated the narrative part with beautiful music that will give title depth. If you enjoy the scenes of gunfight, you will be served by hordes of zombies that are sure to fall under your bullets.
