Sony-PK at IFA: Live blog Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact & Co.

Sony is said to have a whole range of new mobile hardware in its luggage at the international radio exhibition in Berlin. The Japanese had already teased a smartwatch and a tablet in advance. The watch is according to rumours the Smartwatch 3, which is now even supposed to rely on Android Wear instead of Sony's proprietary wearable operating system. The hottest candidate for the tablet is the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, an allegedly 8-inch and waterproof Full HD flounder.

Other devices that should see the light of day at the press conference on Wednesday are the new smartphone flagship Xperia Z3 and its little brother Xperia Z3 Compact. Furthermore, a mid-range smartphone called Xperia E3 recently haunted the blogosphere.

In addition, Sony will probably show new televisions, Blu-ray players, headphones, etc. at the press conference – only the big camera cracks are likely to save the Japanese for the Photokina photo fair, which starts in Cologne in mid-October.
