Soft Remote NodOn – The Review

The Soft Remote NodOn is a wireless remote control, without batteries and EnOcean compatible. I invite you today to discover the result of my Review of this product which was sent to me by Tiloli, the distribution subsidiary of the industrial group Altyor.

Soft Remote NodOn

The Soft Remote NodOn makes a good impression when the package is opened. The packaging is neat and the instructions for use simple and easily understandable. In order not to spoil anything, the cardboard box and even the manual is made of recycled paper.

As I told you, this product works without batteries. But then with what energy does it work? Simply mechanical energy: when you press one of the buttons, the energy created by this pressure is transformed via a magneto-resistive generator which then produces the electricity necessary to send a radio signal. I would like to take this opportunity to clarify that to Review this product I paired it with a Smart Plug from NodOn.

Regarding the design, the product is quite nice. No frills, the grip is pleasant thanks to its soft touch plastic. Thanks to its magnet, you can fix it on any metal surface. You can even put it in the kitchen since it is shock, splash and dust resistant. Besides, all NodOn modules are guaranteed for 3 years. So far, everything is going well.

Now let's go to the actual Review. The combination of the remote control and the Smart Plug is quite simple and well explained in the instructions for the Smart Plug. For me, things went bad afterwards. In the ehealth below, you will see that turning on the Smart Plug with the Soft Remote is more than complicated. The plug does not seem to want to stay on. In the ehealth, it will take many presses and more than twenty seconds for the Smart Plug to stay on.

So did I come across a faulty product, is there a configuration problem? I do not know, but suddenly I am rather reserved on the Soft Remote NodOn. If this product interests you, you can find it at Domadoo.
