Smartwatch: Pebble Time Steel goes into production

Pebble Technology is launching its fourth smartwatch in series production: early buyers can still enjoy the new watch in July – others have to wait until the end of August.

As part of the GSMA Mobile World Congress in March this year, the US startup Pebble Technology presented the Pebble Time Steel. It is a wristwatch with a color display, but in a metal case. This is a major difference from the pebble time that was shown to the public a few weeks earlier.

The Pebble Time Steel smartwatch unit is a few millimeters thicker than the very similar Pebble Time. The buyer also gets a slightly larger battery that should last ten instead of seven, promises young entrepreneur and managing director Eric Migicovsky from Pebble Technology.

Series production of Time Steel started today, Pebble tells its customers on the swarm finance platform Kickstarter. Early buyers in the Diffusion research Also called "early adopters", they will get their smartwatch this month. Those who have taken their time will only get the Time Steel towards the end of August.

At the Barcelona show, we were able to take a quick look at Pebble's Time Steel. Check out our ehealth and pictures:
