Round smartwatch: teaser ehealth for Samsung Gear S2

Samsung Electronics round smartwatch is coming: In a teaser ehealth, the manufacturer gives a few first impressions of the interface of the Gear S2 – and also reveals the date for the official presentation.

A round smartwatch from Samsung has been haunting the rumor mill for months. The watch was finally officially mentioned – albeit very briefly – at the press event, which was largely about the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge +.

Now Samsung has published a teaser ehealth that primarily gives an insight into the surface of the watch. Here you can see, for example, a menu for the app selection, in which the icons for the individual applications are arranged in a circle. There is obviously a mechanically rotatable bezel for control, the Korean equivalent to the crown of Apple's Watch, so to speak.

Google's Android Wear is not used as the operating system, but apparently a proprietary OS from Samsung, which is probably based on Tizen as in the previous models. Otherwise, we see in the ehealth a hint that a heart rate sensor is on board.
