Realme Watch & Band: the manufacturer launches its wearables at low prices in Europe

Realme launched its wearables in Europe this Tuesday, May 26: the Realme Watch and Realme band. If the watch is largely inspired by the design of the Apple Watch, it is positioned at a much more comfortable price.
In the wonderful world of smart health connected watches, two main trends stand out: there are those who want to pretend to be a traditional watch, and there are those who disguise themselves as Apple Watch. In this second category, Realme has just joined Oppo, Huami and Fitbit.
Here is the Realme Watch, a new watch with a rectangular case. Unveiled in India on May 25, the terminal has just been announced in Europe, where it stands out with its launch price of € 55. Please note, this price may vary slightly in France. In the process, the manufacturer announced its Realme Band, an equally competitive activity sensor (25 €). The two products should be available on June 22 in Italy, Spain, Germany and Great Britain. The French launch should therefore not be long in coming.
Realme Watch: A technical sheet that holds water
At this price, Realme does not work miracles, certainly, but offers an interesting technical sheet. We thus find there a 1.4 inch IPS touch screen displaying in 320 x 320 pixels for a resolution of 323 ppi. This occupies about 67% of the front of the case. The manufacturer mentions a maximum brightness of 380 cd / m² offering readability preserved in direct sunlight.
Designed for sport, the watch is IP68 certified and can therefore be immersed in order to follow a swimming session, for example. Unfortunately, there are few sensors on this Realme Watch; it will therefore be necessary to do with only an accelerometer and a heart rate monitoring. No gyroscope or GPS in the program, and a smartphone will be necessary to follow the route of his running. It is all the more a pity that Realme embeds 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of memory, probably allowing to store some music. Another concession linked to its price, the case is made of plastic, weighing only 33 g. Not likely to have a premium sensation on the wrist, therefore.
Thanks to its interface, the manufacturer announces the monitoring of 14 sports disciplines, including outdoor running, cycling or football. Itou, notifications cover different extremely popular applications like WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger (Facebook). Finally, the watch is based on a Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip and a 160 mAh accumulator. Enough to provide autonomy for 9 days according to Realme. Available from June 22 in Italy, Spain, Germany and Great Britain, it is very likely that this Watch will enter France in the weeks that follow.
Realme Band: a competitor for the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4
In addition to its Watch, Realme also announced an activity sensor, the Realme Band. Available for 25 € from June 22 in some European countries, it is distinguished by an interesting technical sheet. We thus discover a 0.96 inch IPS panel displaying in 80 x 160 pixels, a 19.6 x 11.9 x 240 mm case for a weight of 20 g. It is particularly interesting to note that once the bracelet is removed, a USB-A connector appears, allowing the sensor to be charged directly to any block. Thanks to a 90 mAh battery, Realme promises about 10 days of autonomy. 9 sports disciplines can be detected by the Band, while notifications from popular messaging apps will be compatible. As on the Watch, we only find as sensors a heart rate monitoring and an accelerometer. A technical sheet cut to compete with the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4, very relevant to its price.
