NewsDrop: Meizu smartwatch popped up in photos

Meizu is working on a smartwatch – this rumor has been circulating for quite some time. Now photos of the alleged computer clock have appeared. The timing is right: the manufacturer is holding a press event in exactly one week.

All details about the Meizu leak can be found in the following ehealth.

If you prefer to read instead of watching ehealth: Here is the content of the NewsDrop in text form:

The Chinese manufacturer Meizu is hosting an event on October 21 – and is rumored to show a new smartwatch there, among other things. The first pictures have appeared on the Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo, showing a round smartwatch with the Meizu logo and black leather strap.

In the pictures it can still be seen in the background that the watch with a small SAR value should be particularly low in radiation and also have a reliable cell phone connection and good voice quality. This indicates an integrated cell phone module. In addition, the watch should also offer fitness functions and be dust and waterproof.

Unfortunately, much more technical data is not known about the watch. Incidentally, the smartwatch should not rely on Android Wear for the operating system. There is speculation that Meizu will partner with Samsung – and will use Tizen as the operating system. We'll probably know more on October 21st.
