Motorola Moto 360: available from October for 249 euros

Motorola has just announced that the stylish round Moto 360 smartwatch will be available in Germany for 249 euros in October. There is now a serious – also round and chic – competitor with the G Watch R, but the wearable from LG is 50 euros more expensive.

Motorola's Moto 360 has a round 1.56 inch LCD panel with a resolution of 320 × 290 pixels. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. A TI OMAP 3 is used as the processor. The RAM holds 512 MB, the internal memory is 4 GB. There is a heart rate monitoring and pedometer on sensors. According to IP67 certification, the wrist gadget is dust and splash-proof.

The Moto 360 will be available with a leather strap and a light or dark stainless steel case that is 11.5 millimeters thick and 46 millimeters in diameter. The Android Wear Watch is smart health connected to smartphones via Bluetooth 4.0. The gadget's battery has a capacity of 320 mAh. The Moto 360 is charged wirelessly via a special charging station.
