LG Electronics' latest smartwatch, the Watch Urbane, is scheduled to hit the stores this month, the South Korean manufacturer said today Press release With.

The Watch Urbane was presented at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. Basically, this is a higher quality version of the conventional G Watch R. The circular, 1.3-inch POLED display has a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels. The smartwatch runs with the latest version of Google Android Wear OS and a 1.2 GHz processor.

Watch Urbane will start selling in South Korea this week. Then it's North America's turn. In Germany, France, India, Italy and other countries around the world, the watch should be available in the Google Play Store by the end of the month.

One of the special features of the Watch Urbane is the integrated WLAN antenna. With the new version of Android Wear, the watch can also communicate directly with the local network – ideally when the smartphone is not nearby. LG adds its own functions to the watch: the LG Call feature can be used to call people who have previously been declared a favorite if a Bluetooth headset is smart health connected to the watch. LG Pulse is a mode in which the heart rate is measured every second. At the end of a sporting activity, the user is shown a summary with the highs and lows.

The LG Watch Urbane comes in two colors, silver and rose gold, in the Google Play Store. A sales price has not yet been mentioned.
