LG Watch Urbane: available for less than 300 euros

LG announced in a press release that the Watch Urbane (for hands-on) will be available in Germany from September. This refers to retailers like Amazon, Saturn & Co – the gadget has been around for a while in the Play Store. However, some German shops currently have the LG Watch Urbane in stock, sometimes even a good deal below the RRP of 349 euros.

While the Watch Urbane at Amazon (currently only available there through third-party providers) costs just under 300 euros in the best case, the electronics shop Alternate, for example, wants 319 euros. We asked there and we confirmed that the smartwatch is actually in stock. In the case of lesser-known retailers, on the other hand, the Watch Urbane is already below the 300-euro mark – a current offer on eBay is 279.90 euros, almost 70 euros below the recommended retail price.

The dust and waterproof G Watch Urbane has a round 1.3-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels. Inside, a Snapdragon 400 chip from Qualcomm clocked at 1.2 GHz. The main memory holds 512 MB, the internal memory is 4 GB. The wearable with the dimensions 45.5 × 52.5 × 10.9 millimeters is powered by a 410 mAh battery.

In addition to the usual sensors, the Watch Urbane also has a heart rate monitoring. Android Wear is used as the operating system, and the smartwatch also supports the WLAN functionality of the Wearable OS that was recently introduced by an update.
