KN95 mask: Standards and certification

The KN95 respiratory protection mask is a disposable mask that meets Chinese standards GB2626-2006. Its US equivalent is the N95 mask which also filters 95% of fine particles and meets US NIOSH-42CFR84 standards. Its European equivalent is the FFP2. This meets European standards EN 149-2001 and has a filtration efficiency rate of 94%.

It should be noted that masks that meet non-European standards have now received approval to be imported and used in certain European countries such as France or Switzerland. It meets American standards, much easier to obtain than European standards. This mask filters about 95% of solid and non-greasy liquid aerosols.
