Huawei Watch is late, doesn't come until September

With the first own smartwatch, Huawei has attracted a lot of attention at the MWC: The watch looks classy and of high quality and is well equipped. Then came the shock in March: For 999 euros, the first retailer listed the watch on Amazon – but that was, at least it currently looks, an expensive shot in the blue.
However, the latest news about the Huawei Watch is not really positive. Chinese media report that it will probably only be launched later. It should actually be available in the middle of the year. Now it says: Not before September. The software causes problems. Android Wear from Google runs on the smartwatch, and exactly the Google services cannot be used in China. The Chinese will probably have to switch to other software for their own market.
Some retailers apparently have more information: The watch can be pre-ordered from Conrad. It costs 449 euros in stainless steel and black and 50 euros more for a gold case. Delivery according to Conrad is in 14 weeks – in early September.
There is a closer look at the watch in our hands-on ehealth for the Huawei Watch from the Mobile World Congress.
