Huawei watch and the price: between 149 and 999 euros?

At the Mobile World Congress, Huawei presented its own smartwatch based on Android Wear. Due to the round display, the high-quality materials and the classic design, the Huawei Watch has received a lot of attention – especially since the Chinese manufacturer is known for its interesting price-performance ratio.

However, the company has not yet announced a price for the watch. There is no official statement. You don't want to comment on availability and prices until the middle of the year. Until then, all the numbers that haunt the net are nothing but speculation. It is precisely this speculation that is currently being fueled.

First came the shock: Amazon listed the watch for 999 euros. Too expensive for a device with Android Wear. Then the next shock: Amazon temporarily lowered the price to 149 euros. Thanks to the best price guarantee, all customers who pre-ordered the watch at this price will also be supplied at this price. Other online shops are oriented in the middle: between 449 and 499 euros are called.

We bet on a price of less than 500 euros – maybe a good bit less. However, the watch will not be a cheap health home either and will probably cost several hundred euros. The reason is very simple: The materials used, such as sapphire glass and stainless steel, are of high quality – and even in production they cannot be sold for an apple or an egg.
