Huawei Watch: 399 euros from September

The secret of the price of the Huawei Watch has been revealed. The Chinese smartwatch was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year. It is currently one of the most visually attractive watches with Android Wear and is made of high-quality materials. The fact that the manufacturer has been silent about the price for a long time has fueled the rumor mill. In some cases, prices of 1000 euros appeared, at the other end of the scale it started at 149 euros.

Huawei's mobile boss Richard Yu (here in an interview with ABSMARTHEALTH) has now talked to Business week Bringing light into the dark: The watch should cost 399 euros. At the same time, he confirmed the date of launch. The watch should actually be available by the middle of the year, but after a few delays it is now certain that it will come in September.

Yu also explains the Group's current strategy. Windows smartphones will no longer exist for the time being: devices with a Microsoft operating system were in the program. However, due to the low response, they were removed from the range last year. "We told Microsoft they needed to get faster, but Windows isn't dynamic enough in the mobile phone world yet," Yu told WiWo. At the same time, however, he did not rule out ever building Windows phones again. If the demand for smartphones with Windows 10 increases, Huawei wants to react accordingly.
