HTC announces international event for October 8th

Taiwanese smartphone company HTC announced today that it will launch something new on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. There will be an international press conference in New York City, NY, USA.

HTC recently presented the Desire 820 at the IFA 2014 in Berlin and the Desire 510 in advance – these are two new phones from the entry-level and luxury class.

What exactly HTC wants to present at the event evening in NYC is currently unclear. A Nexus 9 is unlikely, as Google mostly announces such products itself. Could it be the smart health watch? The invitation we received this morning shows two women taking a selfie picture. There is also talk of multiple exposure – so it could well be a camera-centric smartphone.
