Google Cast for audio uses the same technology used for Chromecast. he lets you play your favorite music from your mobile device on your speakers.

With Google Cast for audio, you can use your Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and Chromebook tablets and smartphones to control your music directly from the devices and applications you’re already using. With Google Cast, there's nothing new to do or learn to do: just press a button to listen to your favorite music on your speakers.

You will be able to search, play, zap, and turn up the volume directly from the applications you used. Your friends can even join in and use the apps on their phones and stream their music to your speakers. In fact, everything will go from the cloud instead of from your phone; this ensures that you do not lose sound quality and therefore listening.

Of course, as with Chromecast, you will be able to use the most popular music streaming applications, your online radio or podcast applications. Google’s stated goal: to give us more freedom while listening to music. For example, once you've chosen the song to stream, you can use your phone to take a phone call, play a game, send an SMS, or even leave your health home without interrupting the music or consuming your entire battery.

Currently, Google Cast for audio is compatible with Denon, LG and Sony speakers, but others will soon be. Watch a little demo of the system:
