Full Review of Yuneec selfie drone smart health innovation
The drone market is much larger than it seems. Between mini-drones and more advanced models, quadcopters and planes, it is important to know what use you intend to make of your device before making your choice. The Yuneec Breeze 4k mini drone defines itself as a selfie drone.

Unboxing of Breeze 4k
The drone box offers a very sleek design which sticks to that of the brand: mainly white with touches of blue. It is made of rather resistant reinforced cardboard and shows a photo of the drone that shows how it looks when unpacked.

The reverse side of the package details the main features of the Breeze 4k : the propeller guards which allow more safety, its blades and retractable landing gear to be easily transportable, as well as the different modes of use of the drone.

On the edge of the box, you can see different information about the device like its 4k ehealth resolution, its ability to be used indoors, its live mode in 720p quality or its ability to post live content on social networks.
Once the box is opened, we discover a very sober and refined packaging. The box containing the drone is stored next to two small boxes containing its accessories: the battery, the charger, the spare propellers and the various manuals.
By opening the box, we can see that the drone is almost completely assembled, no question of building it yourself like the Parrot Disco. Here, the only thing you will have to do is add the propeller protectors, which simply clip into the holes provided for this purpose. No chance of being wrong. It is indeed a ready to use drone.
Breeze 4k design and ergonomics
The Breeze 4k also offers a design in tune with its box. It is completely white and displays curves that smooth its appearance. It is not much different from other quadcopters on the market with its four arms carrying propellers, its elongated body, and its camera visible from the back of the aircraft.

As previously stated, it is very ergonomic. It is a mini-drone, so its size is rather small. Furthermore, several of its parts are retractable so that it takes even less spacee. You can move the propellers freely to rotate them towards the aircraft to maximize the space saved. It is also possible to fold down the landing gear (which should always be deployed when using the drone) to make the Breeze 4k thinner.

It is made entirely of plastic. So be careful if you drop it, it may not appreciate the fall. However, you shouldn't have a problem when you normally drive it with the app dedicated to it, because many features are provided precisely to avoid this kind of inconvenience.

Once in the air, it is very easy to drive even in piloting mode. Indeed, like all quadcopters, it is capable of hovering. This allows the user to take his marks and move the drone little by little without being panicked in front of a drone which would leave at full speed towards the horizon.
Application of Breeze 4k
The drone application is very easy to handle and leaves little room for error. Unlike many such product apps, you won't even have to create an account. Just download the app, then connect your smartphone to the drone via it, and you can instantly take off your drone.
If you want to fly the drone manually, you won't even have to take the time to calibrate it. You can use it in five minutes after unpacking it. If you want to use the other available modes, you will need to calibrate it so that it can be identified by the GPS. This step is done very quickly and very simply as well.
Once on the main menu of the application, you will have access to the various parameters of the drone (such as its name or the quality of its videos), to the media gallery that you will have recorded with, and of course to the screen of piloting the Breeze 4k. This consists of the vision of the drone camera as well as two circles on which you have to put your thumbs to steer the device in all possible directions.

This is also where you can choose to make him land, bring him back towards you, change the angle of his camera or check all kinds of information such as its altitude, the distance it is from you and even its orientation thanks to an integrated compass.
Using the Breeze 4k
As said above, this mini-drone is very easy to handle. If you launch the manual piloting mode, you will need less than five minutes to get started with the basics of driving this device, because they are very instinctive. When you launch your first takeoff, the drone rises by itself to a height of three meters before you leave the controls to manipulate it as you wish.

You can then have it navigate around you. As the box says, it’s primarily a camera for taking photos, and even selfies (the camera on the back of the device makes this exercise particularly easy). There is therefore no question of going at full speed or performing tricks in flight.

You can simply steal and take high-quality photos from points of view that you wouldn’t have had otherwise, or take selfies with your friends while on vacation in original places. To help you in this operation, the drone has different modes.

Selfie mode will automatically focus the drone camera on your face thanks to the face recognition system that equips all phones and cameras today. The "orbit" mode will rotate the drone around you, which will allow you to bring a touch of scriptwriting in your videos.

The “journey” mode allows you to define points to which your drone will go one after the other, which will allow you to film exactly the route of your choice and focus on taking pictures rather than piloting the device. Finally, with "follow me" mode, the drone will simply follow you wherever you go.

The whole offers a very complete service for a drone of this type. It is pleasant to use and allows you to take quality photos and videos as you wish. This device is recommended for selfie addicts and for those who want to bring a touch of achievement in their vacation videos and photos.

The Breeze 4k against the competition
The Breeze 4k is an accessible drone, but one that remains of good quality. It cannot be compared with other much more fragile or smaller models, which hold almost more of a toy than a drone. It is closer to models like the Parrot Bebob 2. The Breeze 4k costs € 200 less, but offers much less functionality.

The flight sensations are not of the same quality, and especially the Breeze 4k does not offer FPV mode. Where the Bebop 2 even provides the helmet necessary for this very immersive practice. Speaking of accessories, the Bebop 2 also offers a controller. This ends up placing it as a more professional product than the Breeze 4k.
In the end, the two products display different prices, because they are justified by their different uses. If you want to take beautiful photos that you wouldn’t have been able to take without it, Yuneec’s drone will do the trick. If you are more attracted to a piloting experience, the latest from Parrot will suit you better.
