Form AR – Apple Watch compatible swimming goggles

Form AR are augmented reality goggles. Its new update now allows them to be smart health connected to smart watches.

The Form AR smart health connected goggles scored 4.5 / 5 in the Wareable website review. One of its main advantages: the possibility of viewing performance measures in real time such as lap times, distance, swimming speed, cadence per 100.

With a software update, users can connect to Garmin smartwatches and the Apple Watch. They can thus use the GPS connection and the heart rate monitoring placed on the wrist.

This means Form glasses will be able to display GPS performance and heart rate measurements in real time while swimming outdoors in open water.

But it won't be all Garmin devices. Only the Garmin Forerunner 945 and the Garmin Fenix ​​5S Plus and Fenix ​​6 will benefit. For Apple Watch, it's a little more open, the 5, 4 and 3 series are all compatible.

The open water functions are accessible after a firmware update. You will then need to connect the glasses to the smartwatch of your choice.

We loved the solid add-on and integration for platforms like Strava which will make it even more attractive. People may rebel against the $ 199 price tag, but if you like to swim, there is plenty to have fun here.
