Fagor Connect Review: our opinion, our laboratory measurements
[ad_1]
Difficult to miss the glaring resemblance between the Fagor Connect and the Digicook Arthur Martin of Intermarché. If we put aside the color of the plastic on the engine block, the two robot cookers are similar in every way. One could easily confuse the one and the other, but fortunately, the logos of the two manufacturers are labeled both on the engine block and on the stainless steel bowl.
At first glance, everything suggests that the two robots come from the same (Chinese) production chains. To get to the bottom of it, we deboned the two devices and the observation is quite clear: the same components placed in the same places and in the same way.
Recommended item: Lab – We dismantled the Carrefour food processor, the Fagor Connect
The Fagor Connect is therefore identical to the Digicook Arhur Martin and it is only logical that we come across identical performances in the lab. The mixing is correct, the robot heats up fairly quickly, it is respectful of the temperatures required while ensuring good homogeneity. Where the rub is, it is at the level of the sound it emits in the simmer phase; the noise emanating from the robot, a loud and heavy hum, exhausts over time. This is all the more regrettable as the simmer recipes are quite long.
If we dwell a little on the 7-inch touch screen, we regret once again that it lacks a bit of responsiveness. However, the Fagor Connect corrects some faults that we had spotted on the Digicook. For starters, the interface has a search bar, which is very useful for searching by ingredients or directly by recipe. Remember that the Digicook skips a search bar.
From now on, the number of guests provided by the recipe is entered; this is also what was missing from the Digicook recipes. And the weighing display on the integrated scale is much more readable on Fagor Connect than on the Intermarché food processor.
Despite these small adjustments, the interface of Fagor Connect, which is also very close to that of Digicook, is not a model of ergonomics (the stages of making the recipes should be better detailed and detailed).
Finally, note that 400 recipes are natively integrated into the device and that 10 new recipes can be downloaded each month – the Fagor Connect connects to the Wi-Fi network.
