An easy healthy baked ziti recie baked with ground beef, green pepper, onion, tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic powder, mozzarella cheese and ziti cooked or macaroni.

Ingredients

1 lean ground beef (chuck ground or round ground)1/2 cup chopped oniona green pepper, chopped, about 1/2 cup1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, not drained1 (8 oz) tomato sauce can1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crumbled1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder or small clove of garlic, chopped1 1/2 teaspoons of salt1/4 teaspoon of pepper 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crumbled8 oz ziti macaroni or elbow, cooked and drained2 cups (8 oz) grated mozzarella cheese, divided

Preparation

1. Sauté ground beef, onion and green pepper in large pan until onion is tender and beef is lightly browned.

 2. Drain the excess fat; add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

3. Stir well; Stir in ziti or macaroni and a cup of cheese; transfer to a 2 1/2 pan. Garnish with the remaining cup of cheese.

4. Bake at 350 ° C for 25 to 30 minutes, or until sauce is bubbling.This recipe of ziti cooked serves six.

Ingredients

1 pound dry ziti pasta1 onion, chopped2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced1 1/2 cups sour cream 1 pound lean ground beef6 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.

2. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.

3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter has 9×13 inch baking dish.

4. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

5. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.
