Detailed Review of portable external hard drive smart health innovation
Two types of products exist in the wireless external hard drive market. On the one hand, hard drives with a lot of storage, but which are massive. On the other hand, there are the handheld devices which have little storage and a weak autonomy. The Goo Air Disk has chosen to choose this second option, but for what result?

Unboxing of Goo Air Disk
Opening the Goo Air Disk box is very simple. Once the scotch tape has been removed, simply slide the cardboard packaging to reveal the plastic support on which the objects rest.
Thus, in the flexible plastic support is first of all the easy to remove hard drive. Next to the device also rests the USB cable made to charge it as well as transfer the data. Finally on the back of the support is a user manual for simple handling of the device.

Design and Ergonomics of the Goo Air Disk
The hard drive gives in the purest design possible. A completely neutral white color that tends towards a modern side that is perfectly suited to the device. In addition, the hard drive also has a silver gray outline that works with the overall look of the product.

Regarding the pure form of the object, the square side of it brings even more to the modern aspect of the device. However, the material that makes up the device is really problematic. The plastic that makes up most of the product gives a coarse whole and poses other disadvantages which will be explained to you below.
The main weakness of this plasticized texture is that it makes the device vulnerable to shocks. If we add to this the fact that the material heats up a lot compared to the gray outline made of a metal that leaves the device cold.

Yet the ergonomics of the Goo Air Disk makes it very practical. In fact, its pocket size: 5 cm long by 1 cm deep makes it easy to carry. Each user can put the device in their pocket in order to use it optimally.
Application of Goo Air Disk
The Goo Air Disk has a completely free mobile application available on the App Store and Google Play. The latter weighs around 28MB, so it is relatively light.
In order to link the application to your smartphone, you must first press the hard drive for three seconds. A blue light is activated which means that the device's Wi-Fi is activated. You must therefore activate the Wi-Fi of your phone in order to operate the application.
Once done, there is no need to enter a password to connect to the device's Wi-Fi. Once the application is launched, you will be able to configure the name of the Wi-Fi as well as install a password in order to secure it.
When using the application, be aware that only the files saved on the phone will be usable while those on your SD Card will be left out. The app will also back up important phone data like contacts. It is also possible to move files from your device to the hard drive despite a relatively long transfer time.
The hard drive supporting many files such as: MP3 / MP4 / MKV / AVI / JPEG / PNG / GIF / DOC / DOCX / XLS / XLSX or even PDF. The advantage is that thanks to this, it is possible to read these files directly from your smartphone.
Using the Goo Air Disk
The biggest weakness of the device lies in its completely limited autonomy. The life of the hard disk after intensive use is estimated at around three hours. In addition, as mentioned above, the device heats up a lot.

One of the main advantages of the hard drive is that it can be used everywhere as an online storage medium for your smartphone. Thanks to the fact that the device's Wi-Fi has a range of 10 meters, you can put the Goo Air Disk in your pocket and watch a ehealth on your phone.
However, the device can simultaneously connect 7 different devices in order to exchange data on the hard drive via Wi-Fi connection. The device contains 64 Gb of storage capacity, which is still reasonable.

Obviously, you can also, via the USB cable, connect the Goo Air Disk to your PC or your MAC in order to transfer files to your computer. Again, it is the transfer time that is fishing since the average transfer is 15MB per second. This is problematic for slightly heavier files like movies.
It is also good to know that there are no big differences in use between the iOS version and the Android version. The only thing that changes is the proposed interface.
The Goo Air Disk against the competition
As mentioned in the introduction, external hard drives have two diametrically opposite situations. It therefore seems logical to compare the Goo Air Disk to a hard disk offering a panel of equivalent services. So you have to be interested in Kingston Wi-Drive.

The hard drive from Kingston can be sold with a storage capacity of 32, 64 or 128 GB. The device has almost the same characteristics as the Goo Air Disk. It offers a performance at 17Mb / s in reading.
Even in terms of battery performance, the Kingston Wi-Drive is similar with around 2.5 hours in full operation. Similarly, the device heats up a lot on intensive use.
If the Kingston has a Wi-Fi range greater than its competitor about 40 meters, the Goo Air Disk can read many more files. In addition, even if the two devices are compatible with iOS and Android, the Goo has a free application that brings real added value compared to its competitor.

For the same storage capacity, the Kingston Wi-Drive costs around € 85 while the Goo Air Disk costs € 119. In the light of this comparison, we can consider that the two devices are equal and according to your requests it will be more advantageous for you to buy one device rather than the other.

Features: The Goo Air Disk is not only a simple external hard drive, in fact the latter also allows files to be shared with 7 different devices.
Use : You can use the hard drive to read files from your smartphone when you are on the go, but also to share data at your health home.
