Complete Review of Amazon's smart health connected buttons smart health innovation
Amazon. The giant of online sales is no longer to present. But the company is not just confined to its online platform: since April 2014, it has launched its own smart health connected buttons called Dash Button. These allow you to make any order as quick as a touch of the finger.

Dash Button Unboxing
A Dash Button unboxing is pretty overrated when you see the product packaging. At the same time, it's hard to expect anything else when you see the size of the product. Packaged individually, they are packed in small cartons designed to stick perfectly to the shape of the Dash Button.
The cardboard is the same as that used for packages, which makes it suitable for protecting buttons. It simply carries the legal product information, its logo, and a drawing of the black plastic roll bar that surrounds each Dash Button.

Once the box is opened, you simply access the Dash Button as well as two small manuals : a white for safety instructions and general conditions, and a black to inform the user on the use of the product.

Design and ergonomics
The Dash Buttons have a very simple design, but one that works well. These are small plastic shells, 6 cm long and 2.5 cm wide. They carry the logo and colors of the brand to which they are attached.
On the far right of the shell, the button itself can be identified by its white color common to all brands. The Dash Buttons are also surrounded by a black plastic hoop that is very easy to put on or take off, which makes it easy to grab them or hang them on a support or key ring.

While these products were not designed to claim visual bias on the part of Amazon at all, there is something pleasing to the eye when you have several. This something appeals to the collector's soul that lies dormant in all of us.
Having multiple iterations of the same product that are similar but different in color and logo gives a very "collection" character to the Dash Button. Although it is not at all their goal, it must be admitted that it does rather well. A kind of cereal box gift … better … and more useful.
Application of Dash Button
The use of Dash Buttons is mainly done through the Amazon application. It’s with her that you’ll install and configure them. First of all, know thatyou must be an Amazon Premium customer to be able to use Dash Buttons.
Once you linked your Amazon account to the app, you will be taken to the health home page where you can place your orders as normal. You will then have to go to the menu at the top left, then select "My account".
There, a category is reserved for Dash Button. You will just have to choose "Configure a device" to add your buttons. The handling is very simple, and becomes even more so after adding the first button, because the application remembers your settings.
Just follow the directions given to you by the app to install each Dash Button in one or two minutes. The first time, it will ask for the password for your WiFi connection, as well as the address, credit card, and delivery method you want to use, but will remember it later.
It will also ask you what type of product you want to order (within the range of the brand associated with the Dash Button in question) each time you press the button. The full range of products is not available, but the choice remains wide. Remember to check on Amazon's website which products of each brand can be ordered with the Dash Button.
Using Dash Button
Using Dash Buttons is fairly straightforward. Press the button, and the order is done. When you press, a white light flashes then turns green. You will then receive a notification on your mobile phone confirming that the order has been made.
Going on the application, you can cancel an order simply by unchecking the product purchased, in the same way as for a classic order. Something to reassure the clumsy who would be afraid of ordering dozens of rolls of toilet paper unwittingly, or the parents of overly tactile children.
The question is: under what conditions is it useful to have a Dash Button rather than making a simple order? At ABsmarthealth.net, we see two: first, for the products that you consume in large quantities without having to buy them each time you do your shopping. Typically: tea, wholesale cereals, olive oil, etc. This helps to avoid oversights and lighten the shopping bag a bit.
Secondly, for all everyday products that we must not forget or risk finding ourselves … in embarrassment. We think of toilet paper, shower gel, laundry, etc. Place the Dash Button next to where you store the product, and when the stocks run out, all you have to do is press.
The Dash Button against the competition
The competition part will be fast, because there is none! Indeed, Amazon is the only button on the market offering this type of service. Many other smart health connected buttons exist, of course, but they are either specialized in health home automation, or linked to a single service.
For example, buttons like the Concierge or the Cop are used to control your smart health connected objects remotely, or to interact with your smartphone. On the other hand, buttons like those of ehealth or Blue Taxis specialize in a very specific service (after-sales service for the first, and ordering a taxi for the second).

Regarding the price, difficult to rule objectively if the Dash Buttons are worth their € 4.99. If this price is, at first, extremely low for a smart health connected button, its very limited use and the fact that it is necessary to buy one by brand could discourage. However, be aware that the buttons are refunded on the first order, this creates a real amortization of the cost of Dash Button.

Overview
Design and Ergonomics : The general look works well and makes you want more.Application : The application is the big highlight of the product, it is fluid and allows you to easily manage your orders.Features : Features are minimized, but work well and are fully controllable through the app.use : As simple to install as to use.Quality / Price ratio : Very hard to say. the button itself is extremely inexpensive, but the fact that you have to buy one per brand limits this advantage. The fact that it is only a product aimed at making a manipulation faster which is not excessively long at the base can also cause reflection. In the end, the cost remains very acceptable if the features interest you.
