Bayer commits one billion euros to transform its IT environment with Capgemini

Bayer, the German chemical and healthcare giant, has chosen the French IT services group Capgemini to transform its IT environment and accelerate the digitization of its organization. The announcement was made official in a press release issued on December 4, 2019.

This agreement, signed for 6 years for more than one billion euros, strengthens and expands the existing partnership between the two groups. This project will start on 1 January 2020. Under the terms of the contract, Capgemini will provide Bayer with a wide range of services. It will include managing the transformation of the group's cloud infrastructure, its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Analytics environment, as well as integration services for the entire new supplier ecosystem of the German giant. In addition, several hundred members of the Bayer team will join Capgemini "with perspectives of evolution in the group".
