Apple event on March 9: News about the Apple Watch?

Even if Apple does not explicitly mention its watch – what else should the recently announced event on March 9 be about? The gadget will go on sale in April and Apple is likely to present new details about the highly anticipated smartwatch under the motto "Spring Forward". We can count on the detailed presentation of the functions of the wearables and information on the prices of the various models and availability.

However, it is also conceivable that Apple will finally lift the curtain as far as the “giant iPad”, which has been boiling in the rumor mill for months. The device with the “around 13 inch” display is said to be called iPad Pro and will be launched in Q3 2015. However, it seems more likely to us that Apple's smartwatch will be in focus on March 9 – and what else there is to see will only play a minor role.

At the first presentation of the Apple Watch, CEO Tim Cook only gave a rough overview of what to expect from the device. Although only a prototype was apparently shown, the smartwatch from Cupertino met with great interest and triggered a hype typical of Apple products before the release. The assumption did not detract from that, Apple's smartwatch would just get through the day with one battery charge.

According to current rumors, the Apple Watch will offer a smaller range of functions than originally planned. There should be problems with various sensors and the gadget should therefore have less to offer in health and fitness than originally thought.

Apple will broadcast the spring-forward event on March 9, from 7 p.m. on his website.
