Android Wear: LG Watch Urbane available, Moto 360 cheaper

As announced a few days ago, LG's Android wearable Watch Urbane now available in the German Play Store. The chic smartwatch costs 349 euros in gold or silver and leaves the warehouse at the current status with the current order by May 11th. The golden version of the gadget comes with a brown, the silver version with a black genuine leather strap.

While the company's older wearables, the LG G Watch and the G Watch R, according to recent information not fully benefit from the recently announced Android Wear update, the Watch Urbane also supports the upcoming WiFi support.

The Watch Urbane (for hands-on) has a 1.3-inch P-OLED panel with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels. The round, IP67-certified water-resistant smartwatch is powered by a Qualcomm chip. The Snapdragon 400 works with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz. In addition to 512 MB of RAM, there is 4 GB of internal memory and a 410 mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, there is of course Bluetooth (4.0) and the WLAN support already mentioned.

While Motorola's Moto 360 (for testing) still costs 249.99 euros in the Play Store, the company has the price of the smartwatch in the Moto Maker design tool meanwhile reduced to 199 euros for the cheapest version. At this price, the customer gets a wearable with a stainless steel case and leather strap. The gold finish of the watch and the optional stainless steel bracelets cost extra. Like the Watch Urbane, the Moto 360 also supports the WiFi functionality of the upcoming Android Wear update.

The Moto 360's 1.56-inch display has a resolution of 320 × 290 pixels. The TI processor (OMAP 3630) calculates at 1 GHz, the main memory holds 512 MB. There is also 4 GB of internal memory and protection against water according to IP67 certification. Motorola's wearable has also installed a pedometer and an optical heart rate monitoring. The battery of the device has a capacity of 320 mAh.
